Title: What makes a successful manager and/or negotiator?
Friday, 29 May 2020
Question: “I was just promoted to being a team leader. What can I do to become a better manager for my team, and an effective negotiator with prospects and clients?”
Becoming a manager for the first time is an exciting challenge. Without proper training or support, however, it can leave you feeling unsure and anxious. In this session, Allan and Bernice what you can do to level up your game as a new manager.
A Q&A event facilitated by Bernice and Allan
Are you responsible for or involved in leading a company through the COVID19 crisis and recovery? or any crises for that matter.
Do you carry a burden that most people do not realize - the burden of keeping your company alive, providing for your team, and overcoming feelings of helplessness to make good decisions?
Are you asking yourself how you can lead your organization from striving to thriving?
Yes, these are incredibly difficult times for many. The truth is, as a leader, you are always facing difficulty...and you don’t have the luxury of sitting back and seeing how or when crises will blow over. As a leader, you must meet them full-on. It’s the price of leadership. It’s not about being comfortable or whether you like it.
Your company may be on the verge of survival. For many, that has been the case even before COVID-19. You may feel like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Customers cannot pay…. vendors cannot deliver…… and employees are unmotivated. Nothing seems certain.
To come out on top, you will have to be effective. That means being resilient and having solid leadership skills such as listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
But you're not alone. Bernice and Allan is here to help. We are facilitating a weekly Q&A to provide that support.
what to expect:
Come and find out what has worked for other team leaders, executives, and professionals.
Expect to actively engage with each other. Much of the value will be generated through discussions and sharing, not just a monologue from Bernice or Allan.
Expect to collaborate with other professionals just like you to share strategies and tactics for effective communication, negotiation, and lead through this crisis.
Not only will you learn some practical skills for navigating through or around this crisis, but you’ll also get to build your network virtually, learn how to provide leadership to your team, and emerge through crises as a stronger leader.
Our mission is simple
Helping build effective leaders
Bernice helps entrepreneurs who feel tired and stressed out to be more happy, balanced, and ready to take their businesses to the next level. Her approach incorporates the latest developments in neuroscience, emotional intelligence and business etiquette. She has personally taught 2,800+ participants. Previously, she was a human resources manager in the U.S. and Asia, and holds degrees from Yale and Cornell.
Allan helps business leaders and professionals excel in negotiation in order to build strong agreements that do not fall apart easily. He teaches, trains, and coach a process-driven negotiation system that is based on neuroscience. This system enables students to: gain the confidence needed to face any negotiation, no matter how emotional or complex; manage their emotions more effectively in the face of crisis; turn adversaries into allies; and get more of what they want without unnecessary compromises. He has been personally coached and mentored by the Late Jim Camp, author of “Start with No”, and Gary Noesner, Chief FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit (Ret.), author of “Stalling for Time”.
